Evelyn Rowe-Cosentino

Director of Wellness and Counseling
Education: St. Joseph’s College – B.A.; New York University – M.A.
Evelyn Rowe-Cosentino has a B.A in Psychology from St. Josephs College, and a M.A degree from NYU. She is a Psychotherapist with a License in Creative Arts Therapy, and training in Group Psychotherapy, Psychoanalysis, and DBT. She has 30 years experience working in the field of Psychology. She has worked with children with Autism, Trauma, in the foster care system, substance abuse, and at risk teens.
She spent 10 years working at Mount Sinai Hospital on inpatient psychiatric units. During 9/11 through 2004 she worked with the Red Cross and Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society providing therapy to the children of the restaurant workers who lost their lives during the 9/11 attack as well as Firefighters and Police Officers who were injured during the recovery mission.
Ms. Rowe-Cosentino opened a private practice in 2001, and continues to see a few clients privately. She received her Group Certification from the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society in 2000.
In 2008 she received a Fellowship from NYU Psychoanalytic Institute and joined their program for Psychoanalytic training and completed the program in 2010. She completed training in DBT in 2018 from the Marsha Linehan Institute.
Since 2002 she has been providing annual Professional Development to the Alvin Ailey Dance Company (Ailey Camp Division) on adolescent development. In the past few years this has included traveling for presentations.
Before becoming a Psychotherapist Ms. Rowe-Cosentino spent time in the Fashion industry as well as enjoying teaching and performing Modern, Jazz, and Improv dance.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She practices Yoga, Meditation, and enjoys exercising and being outdoors.
