Brian Shure

12th Grade Dean

Mr. Shure joined York Prep as a Jump Start teacher in 2014, teaching both middle school and high school math. After working with the 9th and 10th grades for several years, Mr. Shure now serves as 12th grade Dean, focusing on developing positive relationships with students and their families in order to spur academic and social success. Mr. Shure graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and earned a dual Master’s degree in general and special education from Manhattanville College. Mr. Shure is currently the varsity boys basketball head coach, recognized as the 2022 NYSAIS Coach of the Year after leading the team to the State Championship. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and spending time with family and friends.
